Earth Day Anniversary and ActionForty years ago, the first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970. More than a celebration, it marked great political acts in favour of protecting the needs of our share home, Earth.
Forty years later, there have been some good developments, and some not so good. There now are more organizations, and better planned, working to help, protect, and save our planet.
However, in these last four decades, there have also been ongoing as well as many increasing environmental stresses on our common home.

Environmental Awareness and Green LivingHere's a showcase of some of the wonderful artworks pertaining to the environment. The works span a variety of art types (conceptual, abstract, advertisement, traditional, photography, digital, literature, you name it), and various environment-related themes (Earth Day, environmental awareness, global warming, renewable energy, wildlife and habitat conservation, recycling, human consumption, materialism, pollution, etc). Each one is unique in that they bring forth greater awareness, evoke that thought-provoking button in your brain to envision what the future would be like, and (hopefully) prompt you to act or at least spread the word.
